I cannot believe it but summer is coming to an end soon and everywhere you go you see school supplies on display! I am sure your kids are avoiding the displays but now is a great time to get your lists together so you get what you need and you are prepared for the start of the school year.
You may have kids starting grade school or high school and they need some specific items for school along with finding organizing products that will help your kids with their studies. One of the first questions to ask your kids is what did NOT work last year at school when it came to supplies or their homework stations? What type of supplies do they feel will benefit them more this year? What room or area in your home will work out best for your kids to do their homework in? And what organizing products will help them concentrate on their studies?
Retail stores like Office Depot, Target and The Container Store have several different items that specialize in school supplies that come in many different colors and styles for your kids. For example a variety of trays/baskets and bins to hold their school papers that they need to keep at home for the semester. If they want to do their homework in their bedroom, what type of desk and chair would work best for them? What type of planner would be helpful with keeping their activities in order?
I feel the best way to help your child with school supplies and organization is to go shopping together and show them the options out there and ASK them what they feel would work out best for them to succeed in this upcoming school year. It is very important to start the school year off on the right foot and to be organized! If your child needs help or advice before school starts, please don’t hesitate to ask me. I wish you all an organized and successful school year!
